Book.io Updates
Stuff.io Updates: Although we initially aimed to launch Stuff.io in May, we decided to delay it slightly for a specific reason: in the spirit of “multichain,” we want to simultaneously launch the first asset on both Cardano and an EVM chain, specifically Base.
We have fully functional Video DEAs, completed and submitted apps that are awaiting approval from the App stores, and have versioned Parlamint to create a “Stuff” path that will evolve to be more customized for these assets. Additionally, we’ve finished the capability to mint on Base. However, we currently lack the ability to accept credit card payments for EVM chains. We want to ensure it’s easy for anyone, especially those minting their first Base asset, to participate.
Extensive QA and edge-case scenario testing have made everything very solid. We will launch with a new front page for Stuff.io, along with a Litepaper. This delay also gives us more time to create support assets, including a new whiteboard video from Josh about Stuff.io and its interaction with Book.io.
Last Week’s Mints:
- Monday, we began the week with a glimpse into an iconic time of transformation. Tales of the Jazz Age by F. - Friday, we airdropped The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio, to those of you who took part in the Banned Book-A-Day snapshot. This masterpiece of early Italian literature is a collection of 100 stories told by a group of youths sheltering in a secluded villa to escape the Black Death. These tales offer a rich tapestry of medieval life, combining wit, humor, and social commentary. Visit jpg.store to dive into this timeless classic.
Minting This Week:
- Today, Bulldog Drummond by H. C. McNeile is still minting! Rarities #001, #005, and #006 are still available, so mint quickly while you still can.
- Wednesday, we are minting Fall of Night by New York Times Best-Selling Author Joseph Nassise, the sixth installment in the Templar Chronicles series. After defeating the Adversary, former Knight Commander Cade Williams faces devastating personal losses and a shattered reputation. Join us as Cade battles new threats and seeks redemption in this thrilling continuation of the series.
- We will also be doing a snapshot of the Monster 2.0 series, so please keep an eye on our socials for all the details.
- Thursday will offer a delightful escape into the Hundred Acre Wood. The Winnie the Pooh audiobook will bring you into the charming adventures of Pooh Bear and his friends. Join the lovable bear, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore on their heartwarming journeys. Don’t miss the chance to rediscover the magic of A.A. Milne’s beloved characters.
- Friday, we travel to Ireland with Aoife Brennan’s The Cougar Diaries. This incredible DEA includes the entire trilogy, offering an intimate glimpse into life as a newly single woman, mother, and Dubliner. Follow her as she battles the outdated legal divorce system, fights for a fair future, and learns to live and love again. It’s a story of resilience, mistakes, and embracing life with gusto!
- In addition, for those of you who participated in the Monday Meditations snapshot in April, we’ll be airdropping On the Nature of Things by Lucretius. This profound work explores the philosophy of Epicureanism and the nature of the world.
- Bridging The Gap: The token bridge is progressing well. Locking Cardano-based tokens is recognized across the bridge to the EVM side, preventing any double fund transactions. Now, we are focused on eliminating any risk of issues from EVM back to Cardano. This should be completed in the next week, after which we will submit it to a third party for contract audits. We plan to launch at the end of June or early July.
- Mint+Print™: This is moving along well from the engineering and order automation standpoint. We can’t wait to roll this out!
- Mass Onboarding: Multi-use code development is up next, which will allow us to generate a large influx of new users as we will be able to give away books, music, and videos to attract newbies.
Minting Wednesday!
