Happy New Year! I hope you’re all as excited as I am about the incredible start we’ve had in 2024. There’s a lot to catch up on, so let’s dive right into the latest happenings at Book.io!
Book.io Updates
New Series Launched: We kicked off some new book series last week and minted several new titles:
- Last Monday, we minted Thus Spake Zarathustra, the first book in our new series, Monday Meditations.
- If you missed out, you can get one on secondary.
- Remember, you can always find the books in a series in our bookstore.
- Tuesday, we minted Collecting the Simpsons on Cardano. Only 35 of the 500 books are left.
- Wednesday, we minted Cosmic Poems by Thorpe Brown. Still lots of rare books left in this sale. You can get one here.
- Thursday, we minted Aesop’s Fables as part of the Wildlife Series, which sold out on three chains. All covers were 1:1s. I highly recommend you check out the art.

Minting This Week: We’ve got several mints this week:
- Today, we minted the third book in the Monday Meditations series, A Treatise of Human Nature.
- The mint was blazingly fast. If you missed it, you can get a book here.

- Tuesday, we’re minting Serial Killer Trivia on Cardano. This is part of our Pop Culture Series.
- Wednesday, we’re minting Gold by Steven Savile on Cardano. This is Steven’s second book with us. If you want to get the first book, Silver, you can get one here.
- Thursday, we’re minting the The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen as part of the Misfits Series on Cardano, Polygon, and Ethereum.
- Note: We will be gearing up for an airdrop for the Misfit Series. We do not yet have a snapshot date, but you can see the required books for the airdrop in our bookstore.
- Friday, it’s airdrop time! Brave New World will be airdropped to every person who bought more than $100 USD worth of $BOOK in the ITO. If you had multiple transactions over $100, you will receive multiple books.
Behind-the-Scenes Magic: Our dev team has been busy over the holiday break, cooking up some amazing developments:
- Book.io Con Website: It’s now live (disabled for public view). We’re aiming to launch it publicly sometime next week — so stay tuned for the big reveal! Tickets will go on sale shortly after the site launches.
- Mint+Print: We have a version of the Mint+Print™ process that we hope to launch soon. We have had multiple meetings working with Ingram to create this — it will be a huge milestone for publishing.
App Updates:
- Big news for our mobile readers: we’re putting the final touches on our iOS and Android apps, aiming to submit them to the stores by the end of this week. Fingers crossed for a smooth approval process!
Internal Minting System: This is huge for our business team! We’ve upgraded our internal minting system, allowing them to mint new books with little engineering support. This is a giant leap towards enabling self-published authors to access our portal independently and a big step for ingesting full publisher catalogs.
- Top Secret Projects: We’ve got several other projects brewing, but they’re under wraps for now. Trust me, it’s exciting stuff, and I’ll keep you updated as soon as I can share more.
- BOOK In The Wild: Josh is speaking at NYU’s Advanced Publishing Institute and cleaned up some things before some other very big meetings with large publishers this week. There is an incredible speaker lineup if you want to check out the schedule.
- Book.io got a pretty amazing mention in this Fortune Article. Turns out, Web3 is alive and thriving!
